On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 9:55 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Beaverton Police officers responded to a stabbing in the 300 block of SW 121st Place in the Cedar Hills neighborhood.

The caller told the 911 dispatcher they had just been stabbed in the stomach, and the attacker left in a car.

Beaverton Police Department officers and Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived to find the victim had been stabbed several times. Deputies and officers immediately began treating the victim’s injuries before they were taken to a local hospital in critical condition by American Medical Response (AMR).

Detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit assisted deputies in the investigation and learned the person who stabbed the victim was 40-year-old Jason Ross Johnson of Vancouver, Washington.

Detectives determined Johnson had gone back to his apartment in Vancouver. With the help of the Vancouver Police Department, Johnson was arrested during the early morning hours on September 14 and is currently being held at the Clark County Jail while awaiting extradition to Oregon.

At the scene of the stabbing, deputies found a stolen car and two other people with warrants. 37-year-old Erica Lear Riley was arrested for a Texas warrant and 33-year-old Jasmine Baskin was arrested for a Washington warrant.
