A woman called 9-1-1 to report that her home had been entered and she wasn’t sure if those who entered were still inside. Deputies arrived very quickly to search the area, including a member of the K-9 team. However, no suspect was located.

After searching the home, the homeowner discovered that some jewelry had been stolen, including an urn that contained the remains of her late husband.

The stolen urn (similar in size and shape to the urn in the photo) is described as heart-shaped, brush-painted blue, but still metallic looking, and engraved with “James Arthur Bishop, My Love.”

If anyone has any information about this burglary or the location of the stolen urn, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office requests that you contact them at 503-629-0111. Case No. 50-22-951.
