A man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted on two charges in the killing of another man in Tigard.
The case dates back to June 26, 2022, when Tigard Police responded to a resource center for people experiencing houselessness in the 12200 block of SW Hall Blvd. Responding officers found a man dead in a backyard area of the property. Through the subsequent investigation, police learned Harrison McBride (then age 26) killed William Mayberry (then age 53).
McBride recently pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree and Abuse of a Corpse in the Second Degree and was sentenced to 240 months. McBride will be transferred to the Oregon Department of Corrections to serve his sentence.
