On Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:43 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an assault with a weapon call in the Bethany area, on NW Oak Knoll Place, near NW Shadow Hills Lane.
A 58-year-old man called 9-1-1 to report that his 18-year-old son had just stabbed him.
The suspect had left the area prior to deputies arriving at the scene. The victim was transported to a local trauma hospital with numerous stab wounds to his head, neck, shoulders, arms, and buttocks. The wounds ended up being non-life-threatening.
The victim told deputies it was an unprovoked attack using kitchen knives.
The suspect was located Sunday evening by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of assault in the second degree and attempted murder. The case will be referred to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
