On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 4:40 a.m., officers from the Central Precinct responded to call of a semi-truck that lost control.
It was going northbound on the I-5, when it hit the concrete barrier and then went down the embankment under Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. The semi did not hit any other vehicles.
This is going to cause significant delays on northbound I-5. The freeway will be down to two lanes south of Southwest Terwilliger and at times will be closed completely as crews work to recover the semi. This is expected to take many hours.
