NW Natural, Oregon’s largest gas utility and one of the state’s oldest companies, has announced $600,000 in support toward family- and children-focused nonprofits in its service territory in Oregon and SW Washington. This support is part of the company’s 2023 total giving, which is expected to exceed $1 million.
Organizations benefiting from these gifts include A Village for One, Q Center, Centro Cultural de Washington County, Youth Rights & Justice, FOOD for Lane County and Old Mill Center for Children & Families.
“A Village for One cannot express enough how much our partnership with NW Natural has benefited the youth we serve,” said Executive Director and Co-Founder Cassie Trahan. “Over the years NW Natural has supported AV41 through a three-year sponsorship of our new residential services, assisting us in recognizing our staff through a luncheon, as well as most recently hosting our annual banquet and auction in 2022 and 2023.”
“We are committed to the communities we’re privileged to serve,” Environmental Policy and Corporate Responsibility Director Mary Moerlins said. “Supporting non-profit organizations across our territory who enrich and uplift our region is core to who we are.”
