A shooting in the Eliot Neighborhood has left one dead.
On Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 2:00p.m., North Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting at Northeast First Avenue and Northeast Hancock Street. When officers arrived they located a victim dead at the scene. The suspect or suspects left the scene and no immediate arrests were made.
Detectives with the Portland Police Homicide Unit are responding to the scene. During the investigation, Northeast Hancock is closed between Northeast 1st Avenue and Northeast 2nd Avenue.
