On Friday, September 9, 2022, at 4:23 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting near SW Division St. and SW 172 Ave. in Aloha. Deputies found an adult man with gunshot wounds and paramedics transported him to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in critical condition.

Deputies almost immediately identified the suspect as 28-year-old Reece William Feole of Aloha. A Beaverton police officer saw Feole driving nearby. When officers attempted to stop Feole, a short pursuit ensued. Officers used a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) to stop Feole from continuing to flee. That technique was effective and Feole was arrested in the 15700 block of SW Village Lane. A hand gun and ammunition were found in the driver’s seat of the vehicle he was driving.

Detectives with the Washington County Major Crimes Team responded and Feole was arrested for attempted murder. Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues. Detectives determined the suspect and victim knew each other and this was not a random event.

The Washington County Major Crimes Team is made up of detectives from law enforcement agencies throughout the county and is coordinated by the Washington County District Attorney’s Office. The team responds to major crimes that occur in Washington County.
