Last week, a Washington County Sheriffs Office (WCSO) deputy pulled over a vehicle on Tualatin Valley Highway near 160th Avenue in Beaverton. The vehicle contained a male driver and a male passenger. When the driver was questioned, he lied about his name and date of birth. The deputy suspected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. As backup deputies arrived to the scene, the driver quickly sped off and crashed into another vehicle. The crash caused an injury to the person in the other vehicle who was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and his passenger, later found to be Daniel Bonneau-Bautista and Troy Travis Murphy, fled the scene of the accident on foot. A K9 unit tracked down Bonneau-Bautista while other deputies found Murphy.
Bonneau-Batista and Murphy are currently being held at Washington County Jail on multiple charges related to their crimes.
