At 2pm on Saturday, hundreds of people rallied at Terry Schrunk plaza in downtown Portland to show their support for Palestine. According to estimates, at least 500 people attended the event.
About a dozen speakers addressed the crowd before protesters marched through downtown Portland, making it to the waterfront at Naito Parkway and Pioneer Square before eventually returning back to Terry Schrunk plaza.
The event was organized by the Center for Study & Preservation of Palestine (CSPP). A candle-light vigil is planned for Wednesday May 19th at 9pm and another protest/rally on Saturday May 22nd at 3pm.
