On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 9:29 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the yard of a residence in the 19300 block of SW Blanton Street in Aloha. Deputies arrived to find a Jeep Wrangler had flipped over and a passenger, 34-year-old Sean Michael Hogan, was deceased.

During the investigation, deputies learned that the Jeep was being driven on private property during a party at a home. The Jeep, which appeared to be modified for off-road use, tipped over and Hogan fell out of the vehicle, sustaining fatal injuries. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators from the Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team (CART) responded to lead the investigation.

Hogan’s family was notified of his death.

At the conclusion of the crash investigation, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office presented evidence regarding the July 23rd crash to a grand jury. On August 24, 2022, the grand jury issued an indictment charging the driver, 48-year-old Chad Wisniewski, with one count of manslaughter in the second degree. WCSO Deputies then arrested Wisniewski on the resulting warrant and lodged him in the Washington County Jail.
