Detectives with Portland Police Bureau’s Major Crimes Unit are asking for the public’s help with identifying a group of individuals who violently attacked and stabbed a man.
On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 3:13 a.m., North Precinct Officers were dispatched to the 5400 Block of Northeast 57th Avenue on the reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived and found a man bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds to his leg and torso. Officers immediately used their Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK) to apply a tourniquet to the victim’s leg, and “chest seals” to his kidney area and upper back. AMR transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Officers were able to locate the scene of the crime by following a blood trail from the victim, and were able to identify and collect video surveillance that captured the incident.
