Last week, Beaverton Police detectives asked for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old Conestoga Middle School student.
Milana Li (pictured) had last been seen at her apartment near the intersection of SW Murray Blvd. and SW Scholls Ferry Rd. on Sunday, May 8th, around 4 p.m.
On May 10, 2022, Beaverton Police officers responded to Westside Linear Park near the intersection of SW Barrows Rd. and SW Horizon Blvd. on the report of suspicious circumstances. It was at that time that officers located the deceased body of 13-year-old Milana Li in a small stream.
Investigators began an investigation into the suspicious nature of Li’s death. The following afternoon an autopsy was performed on Li. The results indicated the manner of death was homicide.
Investigators received dozens of investigative tips from community members and followed up on many leads.Â
This morning, May 20, 2022 a juvenile was charged with Murder in the First Degree in Washington County Juvenile Court for the death of Milana Li. Due to juvenile confidentiality laws we are unable to disclose further details.Â
