In the early morning hours of April 22nd, Hillsboro Police received a report of a kidnapping captured on a community member’s doorbell camera. A team of investigators was formed and Hillsboro Police requested the assistance of the community in identifying the suspect and victim from the video circulating on social media.
By the early morning hours of April 23rd, the suspect and victim were identified. The suspect was arrested and the victim is safe. The suspect and victim knew each other and this was not a random attack. The suspect is charged with kidnapping.
Hillsboro Police refused to release the names of the suspect or victim at this time.
