The Portland Police Bureau is asking for public assistance in locating a pickup truck involved in an injury shooting in the Reed Neighborhood.

On Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 4:02p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 5200 block of Southeast 34th Avenue. The victim, a 47-year-old man, was shot multiple times after answering a knock at the door. Responding officers applied trauma first aid to the victim until paramedics arrived and applied advanced care before taking him to the hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.

The Focused Intervention Team (FIT) and the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. ECST detectives believe the suspect left the scene in a pickup truck and are asking for public assistance locating it.

The truck is possibly a dark blue 2008 Dodge Ram double cab pick-up with a rolled up tonneau cover, a white box in the bed, and chrome running boards (see red arrows). The photos are taken from surveillance video captured at the scene.

If anyone knows the location of this vehicle, or has any information about it, please e-mail crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov attention ECST, and reference case number 22-338476.
