Murder suspect Jose Caraballo has been arrested in Southern Oregon.

Police were looking for 43-year-old Jose Antonio Caraballo, who was wanted for the murder of his girlfriend, 27-year-old Kathryn Muhlbach. A nationwide arrest warrant had been issued for Caraballo for the charge of Murder in the Second Degree (Domestic Violence). Caraballo was believed to have fled the Portland area.

Portland Police Homicide Unit detectives were notified that on December 23, 2022 at about 2:00p.m., Central Point Police Department officers arrested Caraballo on his warrant for Murder in the Second Degree (Domestic Violence). He was booked into the Jackson County Jail. He will be transferred to Multnomah County at a later time.
