Suspect arrested in Hillsboro Police officer involved attack

The suspect in the August 19, 2022, Hillsboro officer attack has been indicted by a Washington County Grand Jury, arrested, and is lodged in the Washington County Jail.

This release updates a Hillsboro case from August 19, 2022, whereby a Hillsboro Police Officer was assaulted by Jose Juan Aguilar Mandujano. On October 13, 2022, a Washington County Grand Jury indicted Aguilar Mandujano for charges of Attempted Murder- 2, Assault-2, and Assault on a Police Officer.                                                     

On October 14, 2022, Aguilar Mandujano, age 20, was lodged in the Washington County Jail and is held on the charges listed above.

The investigation of this case remains ongoing by the Washington County Major Crimes Team.
