On March 4, 2022, at approximately 6:00 PM, officers from the Beaverton Police Department responded to the report of a stabbing at an apartment complex located just north of the Beaverton Transit Center.

Upon arrival, officers located the 30-year-old victim at her apartment. The victim was being attended to by neighbors. She was conscious but due to the stabbing, she suffered serious physical injuries to her arms and torso.

Additional responding officers located the suspect, 27-year-old Bryan Andrew Aguilera of Woodburn, less than one block away and took him into custody. Bryan Aguilera attempted to flee the scene but was chased down by numerous community members who held him until police arrived.

The sole victim in this case was transported to a local hospital, is in stable condition, and expected to survive her injuries. Bryan Aguilera was taken to the Washington County Jail, where he was lodged on numerous charges related to the stabbing.

Today, a Washington County Grand Jury indicted Bryan Aguilera on charges of Attempted Murder, First Degree Assault, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

The preliminary investigation indicates this was a stranger-on-stranger assault. This is an ongoing investigation.
